Yarn Wraps Per Inch (WPI) Ruler and Twist Angle Gauge

This WPI (Wraps per Inch) Ruler and Twist Angle Gauge combo tool is made from maple wood and is used to identify the gauge of a yarn.

How it Works:

• The twist angle gauge for yarn spinning tells the angle of twist from 0-90 in increments of 10 degrees and designates S or Z twist. To measure twist angle, lay your yarn across the wood and match the twist to the closest twist angle line.
• The wraps per inch (WPI) is a way to measure the thickness of a yarn. This guide also has lines on the back to measure your yarn against, including lace, fingering, sport, DK, worsted, bulky and super bulky.
