Helix is a unique self-striping yarn made from US sourced Rambouillet and Targhee wool. It is hand dyed and processed from combed top making it extremely soft. The striping sequences are random and range in length, but are medium to long stripes, making it exciting for the yoke of a stranded sweater or shawl.
Each skein even within the same lot can be drastically different looking! This is part of the excitement of working with unique, color changing yarns.
Why we chose this yarn: We love how the colorways for this self-striping yarn will coordinate with the Sustainawool from the same brand. Just like for the Sustainawool, we love the deep, rich colors and that this yarn is a U.S. based product from the Midwest.
