Brenda taught herself to knit with a pair of pencils. Heather picked up crochet at ten, with a broken arm and a whole summer to fill. Between them, they've turned that scrappy beginning into some of the most sought-after self-striping yarn around — and we're beyond excited to have them in the shop.
Brenda and Heather hand-dye each of their skeins in Indiana, specializing in self-striping and gradient colorways — the kind of long, color-shifting repeats that take real technical skill. Expect vivid, playful colors and yarns you won't find anywhere else in the shop!
Come meet them in person, squish skeins and ask them anything — including, yes, how you get from knitting with pencils to running a yarn business.
When: Saturday, September 26th, 11am–5pm Cost: Free to attend — just come!
Bonus: This event leads us right into socktober -- a month of sock knitting!
