Let's Make Amitami: A Beginner Crochet Workshop.

Amitami kits are a great way to start making amigurumi, but sometimes we need a little extra help!  In this class, Kelly will walk you through making one of the kits.  The cost of the kit is included in the class.  So you only need to bring yourself!

Every LYKKE Amitami kit is thoughtfully put together with everything you need to create your own adorable 4-inch (10cm) stuffed animal friend, no hunting for supplies required.

The term "Amitami" combines Japanese roots: "ami," which means "to knit, crochet, or weave," and "tami," which evokes "people" or "folk." Together, they beautifully translate to "the little people of crochet," capturing the essence of these tiny, handmade friends.

What's Inside Each Kit:

  • Soft, vibrant skeins in just the right colors to capture every fluffy detail
  • 2.50mm crochet hook
  • Plush and hypoallergenic polyester stuffing
  • Tapestry needle & stitch markers
  • Embroidery thread for those cute facial features that bring your critter to life

You will choose one from our selection at the time of class.

    • Milo the Bear: A cosy forest dweller with soulful eyes and endless snuggle potential.
    • Clara the Chicken: A feisty farmyard clucker ready to peck her way into your heart.
    • Ellie the Elephant: Trunk-tastic and trumpet-ready for playful adventures.
    • Flopsy the Bunny: Ears that flop just right, with a hop of pure Easter charm.
    • Rex the Dinosaur: A roaring relic with tiny arms and a heart-sized roar for dino-mite cuddles.
    • Lulu the Koala: A eucalyptus dreamer with fuzzy hugs and a sleepy smile that's pouch-perfect for naps.
    • Olly the Octopus: An inky underwater wizard with eight-armed antics and tentacles that tangle into tender embraces.
