Details
Ever admired a Fair Isle sweater and thought "someday"? This is a great place to start!
Paige will teach stranded colorwork — holding two yarns, reading a chart, and managing floats for smooth, even fabric — on a project that is sized to finish: a headband or cowl.
Using a deck of playful doodle cards, you'll pick motifs and colorways to design your own piece before you cast on.
- Materials Needed: Students will need a size 6 circular needle (20"or 24" -- can be bought at the shop prior to class). You do not need to buy yarn; the class fee includes yarn you will need, using DK-weight fine wool in 3 colors.
Experience Level: Adventurous beginner.
Skills Needed: Students should come feeling confident in knitting and purling. Experience knitting in the round is a plus.
Skills Learned:
- Color selection and color dominance
- Holding different strands at the same time
- Managing floats

What if I can't make it?
