Ewetopia - Sustainawool DK
Details
Sustainawool is dyed in the fleece and then processed for a heathered solid color. It is made from Midwest grown fine wool such as Merino, Rambouillet and Targhee and processed from start to finish at Ewetopia Fiber Mill in LaFarge, WI. This 2-ply lofty yarn has character - you may find the occasional thick or thin spot and the occasional bit of hay or other plant material the sheep wandered through! It is an excellent yarn for sweaters and accessories.
Why we chose this yarn: The name Sustainawool feels especially fitting for this yarn - it really showcases the beauty and character of minimally processed wool. We also love the deeper, richer colors produced by dying the fiber before spinning into yarn. And finally, of course, we appreciate that this is a U.S. based product from the Midwest.
