What you’ll learn: This is the second course in the spindle series and will focus on suspended spinning (moving beyond park and draft) and plying to make a sturdier yarn.
Skill level: Beginner; this class is also appropriate for wheel-spinners who are interested in learning how to use a drop spindle.
Materials: Bring your spindle with your spun roving on it.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Instructor: Olivia Hinkel is an interdisciplinary artist and maker who has won prizes for spindle-spinning and weaving. Her love of fiber and textiles is rooted in family history and relationships, which also inspire her to share the joys and techniques of spindle-spinning whenever she can.
What if I can't make it?
