Ready to crochet a garment? What a fun project to start with -- The Granny Hexagon - a popular design that looks great in self striping yarn, tonals, or even scrap yarn!
This 2-part workshop covers pattern reading, increasing, weaving in ends, and crochet hexagonal construction which can be applied to sweaters of any size.
Materials Needed: Students will need about 1200 yds of worsted weight yarn - and size H (5mm hook). You may bring your own or materials can be bought at the shop prior to class.
Experience Level: Adventurous beginner.
Skills Learned: Here are the essential crochet techniques we'll be going to create a hexagon cardigan:

- Magic Ring (aka Magic Loop): How to start the hexagons.
- Single Crochet (sc): The most basic crochet stitch.
- Double Crochet (dc): A beginner-friendly stitch that forms the granny clusters.
- Joining New Yarn: How to add new yarn skeins or switch colors.
- Weaving in Ends: Neatly securing all yarn ends for a polished finish.
