Ready to become a more confident, intentional knitter?

Join us as we work through Patty Lyons' Knitting Bag of Tricks: The Official Workbook together. Over six sessions, we'll explore the concepts from Patty's bestselling book through swatches, discussion, experimentation, and collaborative problem-solving.

This isn't a traditional class—it's a study group.

Rather than following a formal lesson plan from an instructor who has completed every exercise, we'll learn alongside one another. Maddie and Michelle will facilitate discussions, help troubleshoot challenges, answer questions, and keep everyone moving forward as we discover why our knitting behaves the way it does.

Whether you've always wondered why your gauge changes, why certain techniques work better than others, or simply want to become a more thoughtful knitter, this study group provides the time, space, and community to dig deeper.

Schedule:

6 sessions total

  • Saturday, August 22 - 1:00-3:00 PM - Kickoff

What You'll Need:

This study group is ideal if you:

  • Already know the basics of knitting.
  • Want to improve your technique—not just finish projects.
  • Enjoy understanding the "why" behind knitting.
  • Learn well through discussion and hands-on practice.
  • Appreciate encouragement and accountability from other knitters.

What's the difference between this and a class?

Classes focus on structured instruction from an expert who teaches a specific skill or project.

Study Groups focus on learning together. Your facilitators guide discussion, answer questions, and help troubleshoot, but the emphasis is on exploration, collaboration, and applying concepts from the workbook as a group.

What if I can't make it?

We understand that things come up! All class fees are non-refundable, however, they can be partially applied to a different session or a different future class.
