Colonial Needle Felting Foam is an extra-sturdy, white polyester foam pad designed to provide a firm, distortion-free surface for needle felting projects. It acts as a protective base that prevents needle breakage by absorbing the impact of the needles while supporting your wool sculptures or flat felted art.

• High-quality polyester foam is specifically engineered to be firmer than standard household sponges or the basic black foam often found in starter kits. This density ensures your work stays level and doesn't "sink" as you apply pressure.
• Measures 9" x 8" x 2" which provides a deep buffer that protects your table or lap from sharp needle points and helps prevent the needle tips from dulling or bending.
• Designed to withstand heavy, repeated poking without crumbling or leaving small foam particles embedded in your project.
