Each skein of Ash & Bumble yarn is hand-dyed using professional acid dyes. Due to the nature of the hand dyeing process, each skein will have slight differences. They are siblings, but not identical twins!
Why we chose this yarn: We love to support local dyers. Ash & Bumble yarn is hand-dyed in small-batches right here in the Indianapolis area. Ashley operates her dye studio out of her dog-friendly home’s basement.

- Fingering/sock (14 wpi) 2-ply
- 3.5 oz / 100 g
- 437 yds / 399 m
- 27-32 sts (4 in / 10 cm)
- US 1 - 3 (2.25-3.25 mm)
- B-E (2.25 - 3.5 mm)
- 80% superwash merino, 20% nylon
- Hand-wash with cool water and a non-rinse wool wash. Lay flat to dry. Each skein is hand-washed thoroughly after dyeing, but please keep in mind that minimal bleeding may occur on the first wash. A pre-wash is recommended for projects using multiple colors, especially saturated colors.
- We highly recommend alternating skeins if using more than one skein in a project for a more cohesive look.
- Note: Computer monitor or mobile display will be different and could alter the colors in the photography.
